I can't get no..........satisfaction

You have all heard Rolling Stones perform Satisfaction.

Well, apparently there exists a “Can’t Get No Satisfaction“ syndrome.

It is characterized by low morale, where one just can’t get motivated for anything; nothing seems to be exciting enough. The trouble in such times is that nothing seems to be able to put you back on track.

I got a call from a close friend who says that he is suffering from this syndrome, he can’t get any satisfaction. He asked me for my opinion on the subject.........tough task.

I suggested that he does some soul searching as I believe he is the only one who has answers to his own qualms. The door to happiness swings from inside. As opposed to what many people think, happiness surely does not lie in having a fat bank account, a brand new BMW or going out with the sexiest of the Pussy Cat Dolls. Happiness to me lies in being true to yourself, of utmost integrity, living in line with your beliefs, practising what you preach.

In many cases people suffering from such syndrome are not happy about themselves in the first place. So I recommended that he sits down and find out where things are going wrong and work on solutions. I can promise you that the minute you start working on a solution the sun although shy will start to shine again as you will see hope of a better tomorrow. Inaction is likely to push you further down. Make small positive changes, set yourself goals and commit to them. If you are fat - eat healthier, exercise a little bit etc and START NOW.

I urge him to banish negative thinking. How can one enjoy life if one is full of negative thoughts.

Small victories will make a huge change.

I await your comments.
Bon Week End!!!!!

  2. Daryl, I appreciate when you say that "The door to happiness swings from inside" ...I read a great book, "Happiness is an inside job" by John Powell, where the content meets your suggestion on satisfaction & happiness...

Have a nice week end as well!
