Solo Guitar

In my mind,
In the lime light,
On stage,
There he is
Sweat dropping on his Les Paul.
As he plays, he closes his eyes
His fingers running on the strings, his heart wide open
The notes come naturally, a vibration so strong.
Sitting there watching him
His music to my ears elevates my soul
Soul to Soul communication I call it.
Sitting there watching him
The hair on my arms stand straight
I close my eyes too but open up my senses
His music carries me away in the distance
A journey inside my inner world
A peaceful place where life's trash loses its grip on me
I float, float like a feather high in the sky
Exposed to the wind, to the vibes coming from his solo guitar.
